The Esplanade 5K kicks off our annual Community Day!
Stick around for a day filled with music, vendors, and fun activities!
Join up to a thousand of your fellow Esplanade-lovers for the 2024 Esplanade 5K. Run/Walk/Jog the most popular route in Greater Boston along the Charles River Esplanade!
This course takes an unparalleled riverfront route with both water and garden views set against the iconic backdrop of the Boston and Cambridge skylines. The finish line is perfectly photogenic, with passing sailboats on the Charles River. Bring your family and friends for this race perfect for beginners and the season pros.
Online registration until 5:00PM ON SATURDAY MAY 18th. Participants are still able to register day–of after the online registration closes.
What this Race Supports
Proceeds from this race go directly to support the work of the Esplanade Association to revitalize and enhance the Charles River Esplanade, sustain its natural green space, and build community in the park by providing educational, cultural, and recreational programs for everyone

- $35.00: Early-bird Registration (February 14th – May 11th)
- $40.00: Standard Registration (May 12th – May 18th Until 5pm)
- $45.00: Day-of Registration (Sunday, May 19th)

Bib and Packet Pickup
- Early bib pick-up will happen at Marathon Sports (671 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116) on Saturday, May 18th from 12pm – 4pm.
- You may also pick up your bib starting at 8am on race day at the Hatch Memorial Shell
